We all know that Dodge’s dearly departed Dakota and the Viper shared a lug pattern. This has predictably led to all kinds of Dakotas wearing Viper shoes:

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

What I would really like to see is a Viper wearing Dakota shoes. Google comes up empty on this request, presumably because the brakes on the Viper are too big and why the hell would you want to do that.

So, one of you oppos with some shoppin’ skills, make it happen. Throw some Dakota wheels on the Snake and let’s see how bad it is.

I had to say that out loud a few times before I got it. Nice.

The Viper rears are also 13" wide, whatever widths the Dakota wheels are, they wouldn’t provide enough traction for the traction control-less Viper.

I knew a dude that had a E90 335i sedan on coil overs and Shelby Series 1 wheels. It looked sooooo good.

Doesn’t bother Mustang owners.

6x5.5"?

That means they’d fit on my Datsun.

When I was in the car club during college a few years back, our president had a Dakota R/T with a supercharger and some stupidly wide wheels similar these. He also built a custom suspension for the rear to replace the solid axle.

He actually did pretty well at auto-x events and could drive the truck harder than most people were willing to drive their much sportier cars. To boot, it was something like a 12.0-second truck at the 1/4 mile on radials.

Very weird project, but he loved it, and that’s what matters. It also served as a test bed for all kinds of engineering projects, as he was studying to be an aerospace engineer at the time.

6x4.5. It’s a super awkward bolt pattern. It’s why when I upgraded wheels and tires I ended up just going with a different set of oem dakota wheels. Went from these:

to these:

Hey now, you better change that tone around. A RT with Dakota wheels looks amazing especially if they are using the 2nd Gen Viper wheels. Like the red RT above. I am questioning your taste and motives now. (-_-)

Regular Cab R/T Dakota is a very cool truck.
